Internship Success Story

Carey MBA 2005 “My first-year MBA courses equipped me with the tools to develop a strategic business case which identified capability gaps and highlighted existing competencies to successfully bring new products to market. The internship culminated in a presentation of the business plan and recommendations to an executive team including the CEO of Honeywell Specialty Materials.” My internship at Honeywell’s corporate headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey with the Specialty Materials Strategic Technology Development group was invaluable. It honed my business skills and gave me hands-on experience in a global corporation. During my internship, I had the opportunity to interact with not only senior managers of the specialty materials group, but several Strategic Business Enterprise leaders across the globe. My project involved performing a Stage 1 Gate Review which is part of Honeywell’s Product Development Process.
