MBA / Master of Health Sector Management (Concurrent Degree)

The W. P. Carey MBA/MHSM is a professional program granting two distinct degrees. This revolutionary program provides the health sector with highly-trained administrators who possess specialized skills for the rapidly changing pace of the healthcare industry. Students come from a variety of backgrounds, including working professionals who want to retool their skills for leadership positions in the health industry, and health providers who want training in business skills to move into upper-level managerial positions.

Students first delve into the core W. P. Carey MBA business principles.  Credits are applied toward a concurrent MBA/MHSM degree. An additional 18 hours of MHSM courses are required for completion of the MBA/MHSM concurrent degree.

  • Principles of Epidemiology
  • Health Care Economics Economics
  • Health Care Law

Note! The two degrees must be earned concurrently. Students must not submit a Petition to Graduate until they have completed both degrees. Students who are awarded one degree cannot count any of those hours toward a second degree.

MBA and MHSM will share 18 credit hours between the programs of study.

48 credit hours required for MHSM degree
48 credit hours required for MBA degree
78 total credits for graduation

Application Process
Applicants interested in pursuing the MBA/MHSM dual degree must complete the application requirements for both degree programs.
