General Information
The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is a required component of the W. P. Carey MBA application.
The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test which measures general verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills. The GMAT score can range from 200 to 800.
GMAT scores are valid for five years from the date of the test. The GMAT is given entirely in English, and all instructions are provided in English.
The GMAT Web site provides information on how to prepare for the GMAT and how to register for a test date and location.
You may want to check your local area for additional test preparation resources.
Retaking the GMAT
Should you decide to retake or are requested to retake the GMAT by the Admissions Committee, please notify the W. P. Carey MBA by e-mail of your new test date.
Applicants with future test dates should leave this section blank in the online application and provide the registered test date in essay #3.
Applicants with multiple test scores should list the highest GMAT test results in the online application.
Upon an applicant's request, an application will be re-evaluated based on new GMAT scores. Denied applicants must reapply with new GMAT test scores if seeking admission for the same academic start date.
Submission of Scores
Applicants will be asked to report both the score number and percentile obtained for the verbal, quantitative and analytical section of the GMAT during the online application process if you have already taken the test.
Applicants with future test dates or those who have not taken the test should leave this section blank and provide the planned test date in essay #3. Applicants with multiple test scores should list the highest GMAT test results.
