About the Online Application

Welcome to the W. P. Carey MBA – Full-time Program application process. You will find detailed information below on how to apply to our program through our online application.

We recommend you download our easy reference Pre Application Checklist to assist in the application process. Before beginning your online application, you may wish to review a sample of the web based application to be prepared for the questions you will need to answer during the process.

Applications to the W. P. Carey MBA Program are managed through the ASU Graduate College web-based application.

Online Application

The web-based application collects the majority of information required by the ASU Graduate College, as well as the supplemental information needed by the specific W. P. Carey MBA program to which you are applying. The online application should take about 30 minutes to complete if you gather the information listed under each sub-section in advance. Consult our pre-application checklist to compile all necessary information prior to beginning your online application. Once you begin the online application online, you may return later to finalize and complete the required sections prior to submission. Beginning an online application and indicating which degree program to which you will apply notifies the W. P. Carey MBA Admissions staff of your intention to apply. Once an application has been initiated, our staff can assist you through the application process.

Step 1 of 2: Online Application - General Information Section

This section requests information common to all degree programs and includes the following sub-sections:

Personal Information

Applicants are asked to submit biographical information, contact information, citizenship information and personal identification information. If you possess an Arizona State University ID number from past enrollment and/or a previous application, please have this information available.

Institution Information

Applicants will be asked to submit the beginning/ending dates and location(s) of your academic degree(s).

Academic Information

To be eligible for admission to graduate studies, you should have the following:

  • U.S. bachelor's degree or the equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. A bachelor's degree in the U.S. is a four-year degree that follows twelve years of primary and secondary school work. International applicants should review information regarding international degrees.
  • Equivalent to a "B" grade point average in the last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of undergraduate course work is preferred.

The Admissions Committee will review transcripts and GPAs and incorporate information such as major and institution attended as part of the evaluation process. Post-baccalaureate course work at the community college, undergraduate or graduate level may be used to enhance a lower undergraduate GPA. If you are concerned about your past academic performance, you may use the third essay question in the online application to provide the Admissions Committee with additional information about your GPA. Personal, academic or financial constraints which may have impacted your academic performance should be addressed.

Students will be required to submit transcripts from all institutions attended. International applicants should review additional details concerning the submission of international transcripts.
