  • QBA 591 Strategic Decision Analysis
    The use of quantitative models to address decisions characterized by difficult value tradeoffs, significant uncertainty and multiple stakeholders.
  • ACC 502 Financial Accounting
    Financial accounting concepts and procedures for external reporting.
  • MGT 502 Organizational Theory and Behavior
    Concepts and applications of management including motivation, leadership, group dynamics, organization design, decision-making, communication and organization change.
  • ACC 503 Managerial Accounting
    Managerial accounting concepts and procedures for internal reporting.
  • ECN 501 Statistics for Managers
    Fundamentals of quantitative analysis to aid managerial decision making under uncertainty.
  • ECN 502 Managerial Economics
    Application of microeconomic analysis to managerial decision-making at the firm-level in areas of supply and demand, production, cost and pricing. Evaluation of competitive strategies.
  • MKT 502 Marketing Management
    Managing the marketing function; market and environmental analysis; marketing planning, strategy and control concepts. Development and management of marketing programs.
  • MGT 591 Thought Leadership
    This course provides opportunities for student interaction with private and public leaders who address various topics related to our curriculum, including marketing, strategy, organizational behavior, ethics, public policy, regulation and the supply chain. The course consists of 90-minute sessions with leaders who offer their experiences and insights, followed by a question and answer session.
  • MGT 591 Business and Public Policy
    Public policy decisions affect threats and opportunities for businesses. This off-campus course examines how public policy decisions are made and how businesses can participate in the public policy process. The MBA program will pay the expenses for the ground portion of the course (airport transfers, lodging based on single occupancy, local transportation, entry fees and most meals).
  • MGT 591 Leadership and Negotiations
    This class focuses on an often overlooked leadership skill – the ability to use power and influence effectively in negotiating the relationships critical to being a successful leader. Class time focuses on not only understanding the basics of this critical leadership skill, but also practicing those basics through live scenario exercises and debriefing student performances in those exercises.
  • FIN 502 Managerial Finance
    Theory and practice of financial decision-making, including risk analysis, valuation, capital, budgeting, cost of capital and working capital management.
  • LES 591 Legal and Ethical Studies in Business
    Study of legal, ethical and political components of business decisions; self-regulation and social responsibility as regulatory and political strategies.
  • FIN 591 Applied Financial Management
    Case-oriented course in applications of finance theory to management issues such as acquisitions, allocation and management of funds within business enterprise, capital budgeting and valuation strategies.
  • CIS 591 IP and Innovation
    Using the Intellectual Property (IP) law as the backdrop, this course covers how innovation and associated business strategies can be aligned to maximize business potential and commercial interests. Students are introduced to legal frameworks related to IP (Copyright, Patent, Trademark and Trade secret) and through a rich array of cases and exercises they explore business/law dynamics as it relates to both product and process innovation.
  • CIS 591 The Strategic Impact of Information Technology
    Course content focuses on the intersection of business and technology. The central issues are the management implications of utilizing information technology for process improvement and process innovation, managing customer relationships, and optimizing supplier-based relationships.
  • MGT 559 International Management
    Study of salient international issues for multinational firms as well as strategic issues faced by local firms in competing in the global business environment. Topics include the effects of cultural, social processes, trade and commercial activities.
  • MGT 580 International Practicum
    An overseas course designed to provide direct insight into the international business environment and to practice the concepts learned in MGT 559. Students visit businesses and industries daily and engage in live case examples and discussions with local business leaders, government administrators and industry experts. They also have case discussions with local professors or live case examples that are analyzed individually, in small groups and as a class. This is a rigorous course with written and oral components expected as outcomes. Students are responsible for paying their flight expenses. Ground expenses are included in tuition and fees. Locations vary. Previous courses have been held in Argentina, Austria and the Czech Republic.
  • MGT 589 Strategic Management
    Formulation of strategy and policy in the organization, emphasizing the integration of decisions in the functional areas.
  • SCM 502 Operations and Supply Management
    Conceptual foundations of operational and logistic functions for all types of organizations; application of analytical methods to production problems.
