Frequently Asked Questions

As you consider the W. P. Carey MBA you are sure to have questions about admissions, financial aid, student life and more. The following answers some of the most commonly asked questions.

Program Tuition, Fees, and Structure

What is the tuition and fees?

The W. P. Carey MBA annual tuition and fees are determined by the Arizona Board of Regents and are subject to change. The estimated cost of the program is $65,000.

How is the program structured?

The delivery of the information is key, which is why the W. P. Carey School of Business' top faculty teach in the Executive Program. They help business leaders build a framework for analyzing the most difficult business problems. These executive students learn to go beyond the usual analysis and seek out the larger set of opportunities each business challenge may offer.

The Executive Program is delivered in a format that minimizes the impact on full-time managers and executives. Courses offered in the summer allow students to complete the degree in 22 months.

Course Work and Study

How much study time is involved?

Students typically spend two to three hours of outside study for each hour of class time. In addition to class time, 15-20 hours per week in homework is standard. However, executive students have opportunities to integrate their full-time work projects into class assignments. Work projects for class can be incorporated into homework, team assignments, research, class papers and presentations. This course work offers real value for sponsoring corporate organizations.

What level of student interaction is typical?

Executive student interaction contributes to the program's educational value. Students get to know each other well and the business experiences they bring to class enhance the classroom experience. Team structure, a common class and classroom build continuity into the extended exposure to other talented, experienced and motivated business professionals.

What students learn in class is often immediately applicable to the work environment, enhancing the value to the student and organization. Executive Program graduates report numerous cases of tuition and fee reductions and productivity enhancements. The infusion of new ideas resulting from course work and class and team discussions pays off quickly for students and sponsoring firms.
