Orientation

Prior to beginning the MBA program, you participate in a comprehensive orientation program consisting of a number of sessions dedicated to ensuring your educational success. All orientation events are mandatory. Events include a mixture of academic sessions, faculty introductions and social events that allow you to engage with all members of the W. P. Carey community.

Orientation topics will include:

• Introduction to core curriculum and faculty
• Case teaching methodology and preparing for case discussions
• Career Management services and resources
• Using technology to enhance the educational experience
• Financial aid

Beginning with Fall 2009, some pre-orientation activities will be made available in an online video tutorial format, allowing you to complete some of the orientation activities earlier at your own pace. Further details will be made available through your enrollment checklist.

International Students

A special International Student Orientation is held at the beginning of the program to help you get situated in your new environment. We provide information to help you with such essentials as setting up a bank account, obtaining a driver's license and learning American etiquette. We also prepare you for learning in an American university environment. Orientation is mandatory for all international students.
