What are some things that stand out about the W. P. Carey MBA program?
I've had the chance to visit some other schools and look at their campuses. I think we have something special at the W. P. Carey School that is really growing and truly transformational. I think that the administrative staff and leadership of the MBA program are not afraid of making changes, when changes are needed to improve and better the program for future incoming students.
Did the personalized attention help prepare you for your future career?
Being part of a specialization that is small and unique, having that attention placed on each individual, allows you to feel like you're actually being personally guided by, not only the Career Management Center with all its resources, but by your program leadership. I felt that I grew as a person... I was expected to not only be a student in my specialization, but to actually be a leader.
What would you tell someone who is considering the W. P. Carey MBA?
I think it goes beyond the classroom. You're going to dedicate two years of your life, if you're choosing the Full-time Program. You have to know that you also have a place to move that feels right. I think that most of my classmates and alumni colleagues would agree that Phoenix and Tempe are great locations - when you combine that with the fact that the program is up and coming, moving up in the rankings, [plus the fact that] the staff really wanted to ensure that you came out with a valuable degree - that's what I would recommend looking for.
