Electives

The W. P. Carey Professional MBA allows you to customize your degree by selecting elective courses that complement the core business curriculum. You can choose electives in one area to obtain depth in an area of emphasis or from different disciplines to provide breadth across business functions. Technical certificates also are available if you seek additional technical expertise.

Students in the Evening program can take electives during quarters when they are taking only one core course. First-year students can take electives in quarters two and four. Electives are offered on Saturdays throughout the academic year, and during summers on Saturdays and mid-week. The course offerings are updated annually, but prospective students can review electives for the upcoming academic year.

To further enrich your education experience, we offer additional off-site electives in Washington, D.C., and a number of countries around the world.
