MBA/Master of Health Sector Management

The W. P. Carey MBA/MHSM is a professional program granting two distinct degrees. This revolutionary program provides the health sector with highly-trained administrators who possess specialized skills for the rapidly changing pace of the health care industry. Students come from a variety of backgrounds. They include working professionals who want to retool their skills for leadership positions in the health industry and health care providers who seek training in business skills to move into upper-level management positions.

Students in the Evening Program who are pursuing an MBA/MHSM need to take 27 credit hours of MHSM classes in addition to the required MBA courses to complete the concurrent degree.

Special Application and Program Notes

  • You should specify your interest in pursuing the concurrent degree program during the initial application process.
  • You should follow the admissions process for both programs when selecting the concurrent degree.
  • Admission decisions for the program are made by the MBA Admissions office in conjunction with the School of Health Management Policy.
  • Prior experience in health care is not required.
  • The ability to pursue the MBA/MHSM concurrent degree is not currently available to students of the W. P. Care MBA – Evening Accelerated Program.
