MBA/Masters of Engineering

Through an innovative dual degree program, you can earn a W. P. Carey MBA and a Master of Engineering (MEng) from the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering. Further expand your technical proficiency while receiving a top-ranked MBA by incorporating a specialization in one of three areas:

• Systems Engineering (Systems Engineering Dual Degree)
• Quality & Reliability Engineering (Six Sigma Blackbelt Dual Degree)
• Software Engineering (Software Engineering Dual Degree)

The MBA/MEng dual degree is an option over and above the 48 credits required in the Evening program. If you wish to pursue the dual degree, you should make that decision during the application process, allowing you to earn two degrees in a shorter period of time and at lower cost than if the each degree were pursued separately.

Forty-eight credit hours are required to complete the MBA, 15 of which will consist of a technical certificate offered through the Engineering program and is applicable to both degrees. Upon completion of the MBA, only nine additional credit hours (three classes) are required to achieve the MEng degree. Those credits may be fulfilled any time after you graduate from the W. P. Carey MBA, although most students complete these classes the following summer or fall semester.

This dual degree program is only offered in conjunction with the W. P. Carey Evening program that begins in the fall.

Application Requirements

You must meet the admission requirements for both the W. P. Carey MBA and the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering MEng. Acceptance to the MBA program does not guarantee acceptance to the MEng program.

To apply for any dual degree, you must use the Supplemental Application Form. Additionally, you must submit a dual degree application to the ASU Graduate College. When submitting the online application to the dual degree, select Dual Degree - W. P. Carey MBA/MEng.

The MEng program requires that you possess a Bachelor of Science degree (preferably in engineering or mathematics) and relevant work experience.
