GMAT TestingThe Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is a computer-adaptive test (CAT) which measures general verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills. This computer-based standardized test serves as a uniform standard of measurement for applicants. It is non-business specific and tests one's general verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills. The GMAT is given entirely in English, and all instructions are provided in English. If attempting to meet a specific W. P. Carey MBA application submission date, one should take the test no later than two weeks prior to that submission date. The official GMAT score must be forwarded to the W. P. Carey MBA by PearsonVUE. It takes two weeks for ASU to receive the official test scores. GMAT scores are valid for five years. The GMAT web site provides information on how to prepare for the GMAT. You may want to check your local area for additional test preparation resources. Retaking the GMATShould you decide to retake or are requested to retake the GMAT, please notify the W. P. Carey MBA by e-mail of your intended test date. Your highest test score will be forwarded to the Admissions Committee for review. Upon an applicant's written request, an application will be re-evaluated based on new GMAT scores.
