MBA Evening

Getting Started

Application to the W. P. Carey MBA is managed through the ASU Division of Graduate Studies web-based application. To be eligible for admission to graduate studies, you must have the following:

  • U.S. bachelor's degree or the equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. (A bachelor's degree in the U.S. is a four-year degree that follows twelve years of primary and secondary school work.)
  • Equivalent to a "B" average in the last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of undergraduate course work. If you do not meet the minimum GPA, your application may still be considered although the degree program office may require additional supporting documents.

Before Starting Your Web-based Application

Before you begin the web-based application, please collect the following information for use in answering questions you will be asked throughout the application.

  • A current electronic resume with employment and salary history
  • The beginning/ending dates and location(s) of your academic degree(s)
  • Other personal information such as a listing of recent honors, awards or certificates, a summary of basic computer skills, a list of overseas travels and/or work postings, and a record of extracurricular and/or current community/civic involvement
  • Copies of transcripts for grade point average (GPA) calculation purposes

Individuals interested in learning more about the W. P. Carey MBA and its educational platforms are strongly encouraged to attend an information session.

To ensure that you MBA application experience is the best possible, we suggest applying early

Reasons to apply early:

  • Allows people to complete their GMAT exams within their desired admissions deadlines. The few GMAT test centers available in Arizona have been filling up quickly this year.
  • Ensures the best chance at securing your seat in the MBA program as well as your first choice of campus location (evening program applicants). With limited seats available, classes and campus locations fill up during the final admissions rounds.
  • Provides time for the admissions office to conduct a preliminary review of your application to identify any “red flags” which may result in a deny or incomplete decision before the admissions committee conducts its final review.
  • Prevents you from being charged a late processing fee.
