Design and Delivery Process
A dedicated design team consisting of instructional designers and a faculty director will collaborate with your company to craft an MBA program that meets your objectives. Once the program is under way, a team of faculty and student services professionals will be available to assist students and work to ensure the success of the program. The lead time required from the start of design to the start of the first class is nine to 12 months.
Program Structure
Since custom corporate MBA programs are designed around the needs of a specific company, no two are identical. However, they share these features:
- Courses are customized for, and open only to, students from the sponsoring company.
- All students take the same courses in the same sequence, forming a tightly-knit learning community.
Depending on the needs of the company, courses can be delivered online, on campus and at company locations over a of 18 months to three years. Most companies have preferred a combination of online and face-to-face delivery (emphasizing the former) and have selected a program length of two years or less.
Workload and Working Professionals
No matter how or when the courses are delivered, they are always rigorous and challenging. Students are expected to maintain the same academic standards required of students in our full-time MBA program. Students in our custom corporate MBA programs report spending an average of 20 hours a week on coursework.
We have many years experience in designing challenging MBA programs for working professionals, so we know how to structure programs so that students are best able to balance work, family life and studies. Students take only one course at a time, over an intensive period of five to 10 weeks, followed by a two week or longer break. This "sprint-then-catch-your-breath" structure, coupled with the support that students receive from one another, has worked effectively for the hundreds of working professionals who've graduated from our professional MBA programs.
