These are exciting times for business professionals. Global markets are expanding rapidly, opening new doors for multinational firms while making them more susceptible to competition in their own backyard. Fast-paced technological advances are making established product and services obsolete, changing the way business is conducted. Within this rapidly changing mix of products, services, and technology, there is no market with more potential than China.

China is destined to be an economic powerhouse for many decades. It committed itself to integration with the global market for goods and services upon its accession to the World Trade Organization. WTO entry, however, demands a financial infrastructure in the same way that new buildings need a strong and secure foundation. This translates into an immense growth opportunity for State Owned Enterprises in the financial services sector as well as those seeking investments and trading opportunities from multinational firms.

To turn this opportunity into a reality, Chinese firms must invest in human capital that will produce individuals with skills and talents to meet the challenges of the global marketplace. This is the mission of the W. P. Carey MBA in China – to develop global business leaders for China! The aim of the unique curriculum is to provide participants with a world-class MBA education and assist China in meeting the opportunities afforded by the WTO. The program builds a solid foundation of advanced managerial knowledge with core courses in economics, management, and strategy, followed by immersion in financial management. All classes are taught by world-class faculty from schools that include Arizona State University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, NYU, MIT, Stanford and Yale.
