Message from the Executive Dean

The W. P. Carey Executive MBA in Shanghai is one of the most exciting undertakings by the W. P. Carey School of Business. The vision of the program is to cultivate world-class executives for China’s state-owned enterprises and to advance the Sino-U.S. trade relationship. This vision reflects the aspiration of ASU and the W. P. Carey School to play a crucial role in enabling the State of Arizona to deepen its global reach, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

With its entry into the World Trade Organization, China commits itself to global integration. This program aligns with the U.S. government’s policy to engage China. More importantly, increasing the managerial acumen of the executives in the program will make their enterprises more profitable and improve the lives of ordinary Chinese citizens, many of whom do not share in the prosperity of the cities.

All faculty members who participate in this Executive MBA program share this belief. By helping the leaders and their firms to succeed, we help the Chinese people. Prosperity in China will be essential for global stability and peace.
