A 2007 statement from Wm. Polk Carey regarding the Excutive MBA in Shanghai

From everything I have seen and heard with respect to the W. P. Carey EMBA program in Shanghai, I can only say I am proud beyond expression of what is happening. Outstanding professors go there with a love of China and a dedication to improving its economy. The executive students are so accomplished in their own right that they contribute to the teaching as well as the learning process. The results will generate meaningful benefits to the enterprises they lead.

Continued success of the W. P. Carey EMBA program in Shanghai will depend not only on the program’s quality, which is formidable, but also on maintaining the absolute highest standards for future admissions. The goal is the make this program the gold standard for EMBA programs worldwide. To achieve this, participants must work together as a team, proud of their accomplishments, going forward with enhanced tools to meet the economic challenges of tomorrow.

The Shanghai EMBA program participants are all part of a family. Their experience and recommendations for the future will have immeasurable impact. For as long as I am able, I hope to host an annual “family reunion” of available participants, faculty and alumni. My pride in what has been accomplished is immeasurable.
