Step 1: Establish On-Campus Interviewing Dates
Interviewing begins in September and continues through the first week of December. Interviews resume in January and continue to April. The Corporate Recruiting Manager, Joelle Hartwig, can help you select the best datesthat match your company's needs . Dates can be reserved as early as April 1 for the next academic year.

Step 2: Establish an Information Reception Date
We encourage companies to schedule an Information Reception to inform students about their company and its career opportunities. Information Receptions are held between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday-Thursday. The CMC will advertise the reception to students who are requested to RSVP. Reception arrangements including location, catering, and audio/visual needs are coordinated by the CMC.

Step 3: Determine Interviewing Preferences
Please contact, Joelle Hartwig, Corporate Recruiting Manager to determine the following:
Interview Length: Interview schedules typically follow one of these formats. Specific scheduling requests can also be accommodated. Each schedule allows for two breaks and at least one hour for lunch.
- 30-minute Interviews - 13 per schedule, 8:30 AM - 4:45 PM
- 45-minute Interviews - 9 per schedule, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- 60-minute Interviews - 8 per schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Interview Type: You chose your preferred format. ASU does not have a requirement that a portion of your schedules be Open. We do not have a student bidding system.
- Closed - You select all candidates who you would like to interview.
- Open - Any student can sign up for an interview time.
Step 4: Provide Position Description and Company Information
Descriptions for each position for which you will interview should be sent to the Corporate Recruiting Manager, Joelle Hartwig, approximately five weeks before your scheduled interview date. Each position description will be posted on our online site for students to review and submit resumes.
Tips for Submitting Position Descriptions
- Include the position title
- Describe anticipated roles and responsibilities
- Provide required and desired skills and qualifications
- Specify any special application procedures
- Include a short company and/or industry description
- Specify work location
- Include your company website link

Step 5: Promote your Company and Career Opportunity
Enhance your company's visibility on campus by sending us a poster, flyer or other promotional materials. You may also want to network with our student organizations or participate in our many professional panels or strategic projects. Another excellent way to meet our students is through our fall and spring career fairs. You may also wish to review student resumes from the online resume book and invite them to your event.
Step 6: Receive and Review Resumes of Candidates
Approximately three to five weeks prior to your interview date, the resumes of students who have submitted for your position are available for review online. Upon request, resumes may also be sent via e-mail or FedEx.
Step 7: Finalize Information Reception Arrangements
The CMC collects student RSVPs for your Information Reception up to four days prior to your event. Please ensure that you have provided us with your menu selections. We will adjust your order to reflect the number of attendees.
Step 8: Select Interview Candidates
If you have selected closed schedules, select your invited candidates and alternates via our online recruiting system, eRecruiting. Once you have selected your candidates, we recommend you e-mail them from the system to notify them of their status.
Step 9: Receive and Review Interview Schedules
The Corporate Recruiting Manager will finalize and email interview schedules to you. In addition, you can view schedules and student resumes online 48 hours prior to interviews.
Step 10: Conduct On-Campus Interviews
Upon arrival at the CMC Interview facility, you will be assigned an interview room with telephone and dial-up modem connections. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your first interview. The CMC will host a luncheon for recruiters.
Step 11: Follow Up with Students and the CMC
The CMC encourages employers to notify students of a decision regarding their interview as soon as possible. We also encourage you to notify the Corporate Recruiting Manager of your decisions so that we may respond to any student inquiries.
Step 12: Report Job Offers and Acceptances
The CMC also encourages employers to notify us of job offers and acceptances for W. P. Carey MBA students. Obtaining this data will help us provide accurate reporting to various organizations within and outside the university. We will plan to contact you at the end of the recruiting season with a survey to help you provide this information.
Step 13: Plan Your Next Recruiting Visit
When on campus or when you return to your office, there is no better time to plan you next visit to the W. P. Carey MBA. We have incredibly business savvy students to offer you for both full time and summer internship positions.
