April 2012

The WPC Business Career Center, along with the Marketing Department, announces the annual Spring Career Mixer event for students interested in marketing, sales and sports.  The Marketing Career Mixer will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, 3:00-7:00 p.m., in the ASU Memorial Union Ventana Room.  Participating companies include: Aflac, Insight, MicroAge, Waste Management, Republic Services, DHL Express, Edward Jones, Mach 2 Global Services, Inc., Owens Harkey Advertising, Verizon Wireless, Entourage Marketing, Vanguard.

March 2012 

Marketing Department is offering several classes this Summer Session 2012 for the marketing major, for the non-business major who desires exposure to marketing concepts, and for any student needing to satisfy the ‘literacy’ general studies requirement.  More information available from the Marketing Department, BAC 460, and W. P. Carey Undergraduate Programs Office, BA 109.

October 2011           

The Marketing Department opens its Behavioral Research Lab located in Discovery Hall on the ASU Tempe Campus.   An Open House Reception was held on October 26, 2011, introducing the facility to the school community.  The Behavioral Research Lab is utilized by several of the Marketing Department faculty for their research studies and class projects.

September 2011

Professor Andrea Morales is the recipient of The Victoria Foundation, Dr. Eugene Garcia Outstanding Latina Faculty in Research in Higher Education Award for 2011.  The Victoria Foundation recognized outstanding individuals whose body of work has helped to advance Arizona’s Latino community in the realm of higher education at an awards event on September 15, 2011.

Professor Rajiv Sinha continues his innovative research on “green accounting” and was recognized in the September 2011 edition of Business Because for the development of an alternative measure of India’s GDP statistics that factor in environmental costs and promoting sustainable development in India.

August 2011

Congratulations to Professor John Eaton and the student chapter of the American Marketing Association on receiving the ASU Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) Hall of  Fame Award as the “Outstanding Undergraduate Organization”.  Marketing major, Matthew Coast, also received the “Outstanding Student Leader” Award.
