Nathan Coury
My name is Nathan Coury and I have lived in Glendale,
Arizona my whole life and I attended Ironwood High School
in Glendale. I intend to dual major in finance and economics
in the W. P. Carey School of Business while being a part of
Barrett, The Honors College. In high school I was one of ten
International Baccalaureate Diploma Recipients at my high
school, which involved taking numerous honors courses,
participating in service activities, and completing tests and
assessments in a variety of subject areas, with the goal of
becoming a more well-rounded leader. I participated in both
cross-country and track for four years, being captain both
junior and senior year for cross-country. I was also
president of the Future Business Leaders of America club in which I traveled to
many competitions, including Nationals several times, and came back with many
trophies and awards, while almost doubling our club's membership for that year.
An interesting activity that I have become involved in is called ultrarunning, which
is a sport that involves running distances longer than a traditional marathon of
26.2 miles. I love running and I have found this to be a unique and fulfilling sport
that allows me to reach beyond my normal human limitations.
Beth Crumrine
My name is Beth Crumrine, I am from Bloomington,
Illinois, where I attended Central Catholic High School.
During my four years at Central Catholic I was very active
in various clubs and activities. I was a member of the
National Honor Society, Vice President of my school's art
club, and the sports editor for my school's yearbook. A lot
of my free time is devoted to Victory Academy All Star
cheerleading, I have been a member of the squad for six
years, during which I had the honor of winning several
national championships. In addition to being a member of
the squad, I founded, and for the past two years have
coached a squad which gives individuals with disabilities an opportunity to
experience competitive cheerleading. I am planning on studying supply chain
management, and am looking forward to the next few years at Arizona State!
Christien Crynes
My name is Christien Crynes. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
and attend Jenks High School. I plan on double majoring in
economics and finance. During high school, I helped with a
political campaign for State Representative Fred Jordan,
was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and
was on the Mock Trial team. Something interesting about
me is that I worked as an intern on an ESPN college football
television program. In my spare time, I enjoy playing flag football and basketball
with my friends.
Erin Dodds
My name is Erin Dodds, and I?m from St. Louis, Missouri
where I recently graduated from Visitation Academy.
While in high school, I served as president of my school?s
chapter of the National Honor Society, Editor-in-Chief of
the school newspaper, and as Lieutenant Governor of
Missouri YMCA Youth in Government. I also enjoy
community service, politics, travel, and spending time
with my family. I am thrilled to be a Tillman Scholar and
intend to major in marketing at Arizona State.
Jennifer Dwosh
My name is Jennifer Dwosh and I am from Phoenix,
Arizona. I have attended Pinnacle High school in Northeast
Phoenix for the past four years and have been involved in
multiple activities. Three of my top school activities include
the National Honor Society, Choir and the Freshman Mentor
Organization, and I currently hold an executive board
position in each of these activities. At Arizona State
University I plan to study elementary education and become
a teacher through the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education
and Barrett, The Honors College. I have many passions in
life, but reading has always been my favorite. As a member of the YA Galley
Project I am able to read young adult literature and send reviews to publishers
prior to release of those books.

Phoenix, Arizona where I attended Central High School.
Business is my intended area of study at ASU. During high
school, I played volleyball and softball. I was also a peer
leader in a Spanish class, gave tours to new students, and
helped out in counseling everyday. My favorite pastime is
scrapbooking. Every year I return to my former school,
Magnet Traditional, to help them successfully complete the
school's yearbook.

serving as State President for 2007-2008. Taking the
initiative to cultivate positive change in the community, I
initiated the First Annual Senior Citizen Prom at the New
River Senior Center as President of Key Club
and managed all aspects of multiple field trips for
ninety National Honor Society volunteers to assist
participants in the Special Olympics of Arizona Bowling
Event and Track and Field Finals. I enjoy traveling and
experiencing new cultures, and have been selected
to participate in the Ben Franklin Transatlantic Affairs Fellows Initiative,
sponsored by the United States Department of State this summer at
Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

swam and played varsity water polo, I was president of
my senior class on Student Council, Head of the Charity
Committee on my parish?s Leadership Council, and a
member of Action Reaction and Model UN. Through
my activities, I was fortunate enough to participate in
many service trips and projects. In my opinion, there is
nothing more satisfying than a good book, but my
hobbies also include swimming and running. My passion is being around peoplenot
only discovering who they are, but learning more about myself through my
interaction with them. I think a smile is the simplest and most sincere form of
communication and I live for the moments when I can put a smile on the face of
others!

be in the middle of a really good book or watching a movie.
I also love Mexican food and hanging out with my friends and family.

Pima High School in Pima, Arizona. In high school I
was very involved with many activities such as the
Future Business Leaders of America where I served as

a three-sport athlete, and served as Illinois DECA?s state

and hanging with family and friends.
Tanner Tegtmeyer
I am Tanner Tegtmeyer. I live in Chandler, Arizona and
attended Chandler High School. At ASU I intend to major in
supply chain management and probably minor in
accountancy with a strong focus on entrepreneurship in both
areas. As a student at Chandler High School, one of the
biggest things I was a part of was coaching and participating
in the football Special Olympics. Another would be inviting
Invisible Children to the school and hosting an event for them
to screen their video. Finally, I participated in Link Crew as a
Junior and Senior, and through Link Crew I was able to
welcome, get to know, and help the incoming freshmen as
they moved into their new environment at Chandler High. As a hobby or pastime,
I have always loved creating music on the guitar, and recently have started to
write my own songs, otherwise I just love trying new things.
Thomas (Taxi) Wilson
My name is Thomas (Taxi) Wilson. I'm from Seattle, Washington and will be
graduating from Lakeside School in June. My intended major is in the field of
business and I've been accepted into the W. P. Carey Business Exploratory
program. During my high school years I've done public service work with the
Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation in one of their summer
playground programs, and with The Mockingbird
Society (a local non-profit assisting homeless and
at-risk teenagers) teaching basic computer skills. I
was selected as a Senior Leader, which aims at
helping freshmen become acquainted with the high
school system. Most of my extracurricular efforts
during the school year have revolved around athletic
programs, for which I've been elected as a captain
of both the football and lacrosse teams. This past
season I was also selected to the first teams of both the all-league football

Devils in the coming year.

garages, welding, construction, and design.
