 Instructional Development
 |
| |
The Web and Instructional Development Team is dedicated to working
with W. P. Carey School of Business faculty to integrate technology
into traditional courses. From supplemental online course materials
to a fully interactive online program, Web and Instructional Development Team assists faculty with the
design and development of online course components using the most
effective technologies tailored to course content and student demographics.
Online course components offer faculty and students a new learning experience.
Online courses today can be much more interactive than a traditional
classroom. For example, by using threaded discussions, professors
can allow students to carefully think about a topic, post responses,
and launch related discussions in separate groups so that every
student gets a chance to speak out.
The Web and Instructional Development Team is now implementing the W. P. Carey MBA - Online Program which is being delivered to the first corporate cohort of Deere & Company students this September 2000. The two-year professional program is customized to meet the needs of the corporate client.
For more information, see the W. P. Carey MBA - Online Program information page.

Blackboard Migration
The W. P. Carey School of Business is adopting Blackboard, a campus-wide solution, for course support and delivery via the World Wide Web. The Blackboard product is easy to use and will allow the school to build a strong online community. Additionally, this system will allow the school to benefit from integrated online campus services as they become available.
The Web Development team is facilitating the transition of ASUBusinessOnline to this system, by offering training and other services to faculty who wish to provide online materials to support their classes. [more] |
