Datastream
Datastream provides extensive current and historical coverage of fundamental data for international equity, bond, commodities,
foreign exchange and futures markets. Macroeconomic statistics and company accounts for listed companies are also available.

Datastream data can be accessed either through an Excel add-in or through a stand alone application, DSWindows. However, the College of Business only has one account. If a user is unable to retrieve data or log on to the Datastream service, another user is already accessing the service. 

In addition, Thomson Financial has deployed a web interface that can be accessed at:

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I access Datastream? Datastream can be accessed using the DSWindows application or through the Datastream Excel add in.

2. I can’t log into DSWindows. What is wrong? The W. P. Carey School of Business Datastream account is limited to two users. If someone is currently using Datastream, DSWindows will display a notice when you log in and deny access.

3. I submitted a request through the Datastream Excel add in and it is just sitting there. What is wrong? The W. P. Carey School of Business Datastream account is limited to one user. If someone is currently using Datastream, the DSDDE server used by the Excel add in will not be able to log in.

4. Can I access Datastream from home? Datastream performs IP verification. Therefore, only users connecting from ASU will be recognized. Therefore, anyone attempting to use Datastream from a non-ASU address will be denied access even if they have the proper log in information.
