Career highlights of selected recent PhD alumni:
Marcus A. Rothenberger graduated from ASU in 1999. He is currently an Associate Professor of MIS at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Prior to his current appointment, he was on the MIS faculty of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Dr. Rothenberger’s research interests include theory testing, theory development, and design science research in the areas of software process improvement, software reusability, performance measurement, and the adoption of Enterprise Resource Planning systems. His work has appeared in major academic outlets, such as the Journal of Management Information Systems, the Decision Sciences Journal, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Communications of the ACM, and Information & Management. Dr. Rothenberger is regularly involved in major academic conferences, including the International Conference on Information Systems, the Americas Conference on Information Systems, and the Annual Meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute. He is a Member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI).
Nancy Gustafson Lankton graduated in 2000 and is currently an assistant professor at Michigan State University. Nancy’s research interests primarily focus on technology acceptance issues in the health care industry. Her work has been published in such journals as IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, and Communications of the AIS. Theresa Edgington graduated in 2006 and joined the faculty as an assistant professor at Baylor University. Her dissertation topic was “Empirical identification of Domain and Cross-Domain Failure Ontology." Theresa’s research has been published in premier IS journals including MIS Quarterly and Communications of the ACM.
