COSTS to attend ASU

GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS
All doctoral students in the Department of Information Systems receive 50% FTE (20 hours per week) appointments as graduate assistants in teaching or research up to four academic years. The graduate assistantship provides a competitive stipend that includes a full waiver of tuition.  Graduate assistantships are renewable, provided that students are making satisfactory progress in the program. 
Application forms for the graduate assistantships (including teaching and research assistantships) should be submitted along with your degree application. 

SUMMER SUPPORT
Summer teaching opportunities are often available.  Summer research grants are also sometimes available. 

ASU HEALTH INSURANCE
The University pays the ASU health insurance premium for each doctoral student who holds a 50% FTE graduate assistantship. Coverage for dependents is additional and is paid for by the student. Details regarding coverage can be obtained from ASU Student Health Services.
