Q: I have a general inquiry about investing in the W. P. Carey School of Business. Where do I start?
A: Contact Phillip.Bolda@asu.edu.
Q: Can I designate the specific area or fund where my gift will be utilized?
A: Yes, but we hope you consider a gift to the Academic Enrichment fund which makes an immediate impact to the school's greatest need.
Q: Where do I send my gift and what information needs to be on the check to ensure proper designation?
A: You may mail a check or use our online payment and pledge form to make gifts to the W. P. Carey School. If you are sending a check, please print out a gift form and enclose it with your check made payable to the ASU Foundation and mail to:

Q: When is my gift considered made for year-end tax considerations?
A: Gifts are considered made on the “date of delivery” to the ASU Foundation. Pledge payments are deductible in the year paid, not the year pledged.
Q: I wish to make a large gift, but would like to make payments. How can I do this?
A: A gift “pledge” can be made and paid per a flexible schedule within five years. If you would like to make a pledge, Phillip Bolda,Assistant Dean for Development, at (480) 965-2597 or go to www.asufoundation.org/giving/gift-pledges.asp.
Q: What sort of acknowledgement can I expect to receive when I make a gift?
A: A thank you letter is sent to your preferred mailing address and a gift receipt from the ASU Foundation will be mailed to your address within two weeks of receiving your gift.
Q: My company wants to make a matching gift in my name. How can I confirm that my employer can or has matched my gift?
A: Visit the Matching Gifts page on the ASU Foundation site for more information.
Q: I have made a gift, but have not received an acknowledgement or any information regarding the use of my gift. Who should I contact?
A: Contact Susan Roxburgh, Donor Relations, (480) 965-6568.
Q: What is an “endowment” or endowed gift?
A: Endowed gifts are typically a minimum of $25,000 deposited into an account with the ASU Foundation. These funds are then collectively invested by the ASU Foundation and gains/losses are distributed to the individual endowed accounts proportionately. A “payout” is made annually in July from each endowed account into a spending account to be used for funding scholarships, professorships, chairs, and other awards and to the designated beneficiaries.
Q: When and how is the investment and payout status of my endowment account reported to me?
A: Endowment reports are prepared and mailed out by the ASU Foundation annually in the fall.
Q: What fees are associated with my endowment accounts at the ASU Foundation?
A: Visit http://www.asufoundation.org/finance/management-fee.asp
Q: What is the ASU Foundation’s federal tax identification number?
A: 86-6051042
Q: What is an “unrestricted” gift and why is unrestricted support important to the school?
A: Unrestricted gifts to the W. P. Carey School such as those made to the Dean’s Academic Enrichment Fund and the Dean’s Investment Fund are not restricted to a specific purpose, but rather are to be used at the dean’s discretion for immediate or opportunistic needs that support the mission of the school. These unrestricted funds are vital to our operations to maximize knowledge-creation opportunities for our students, faculty, and alumni.
Q: I would like to get more information about a W. P. Carey School special event that I heard/read about. Who can I contact?

Q: What is the Economic Club of Phoenix? How do I become a member?
A: Visit The Economic Club of Phoenix, or contact Rhett Wilson.
Q: What is the Dean's Leadership Circle and who can I contact?
