Student Life

As a W. P. Carey student, your classroom experience is just one part of your preparation for a successful career. We also offer a variety of outstanding extracurricular programs and activities to provide you with practical, real-world experiences that complement your classroom studies and prepare you to become one of tomorrow’s business leaders.

Among our extracurricular programs and activities are:

Department of Information Systems Club

The Department of Information Systems Club (DISC) new window is a dynamic organization comprised of motivated professionals-in-training. Primarily pursuing computer information systems degrees, DISC members are well-versed in both computing and business. While university degrees familiarize students with a wide variety of practices and concepts, the club puts them into action. Career development, leadership, collaboration and community involvement are priorities for DISC members. They network with leading firms and professionals from a wide range of industries, gaining valuable insights and exposure to the inner workings of their field.

Women in Information Technology Club (WIT)

Women in Information Technology Club (WIT) new window is an organization operated by W. P. Carey School of Business Students. Their goal is to guide young women and men in obtaining their future goals in technology related careers. Since technology education and careers are booming, they hope to provide their club members with the latest news and advice from top business professionals from all over the valley. By hosting company meetings and events, they hope to increase the amount of women and men entering technology education programs and career fields.
