Ph.D. Program Overview

The Department of Information Systems offers a doctoral concentration within the W. P. Carey Ph.D. in Business Administration degree program. The primary objective of the Ph.D. in computer information systems is to prepare scholars for careers as professors at leading research universities.

This full-time program allows students to develop the capability to review, analyze, conduct and publish research through a series of seminars and additional supporting coursework. Ph.D. students also participate in ongoing research projects with faculty members in the Department of Information Systems and other W. P. Carey departments, and with faculty at other ASU schools and colleges.

The size of the Department of Information Systems doctoral program historically has been between nine and 12 students. We seek to admit three or four students per year.

Please review our admissions page for details on the application and admission requirements.
