DOCTORAL PROGRAMS

External Support Groups

A leading institution of higher education requires the support of private sources in addition to state funding. W. P. Carey School of Business benefits from the support of a number of external groups of business leaders, alumni, and professionals.

The Dean's Council of 100: inaugurated in 1983, establishes a "family" tie between the region's top business leaders and the school of business. Through their annual contributions of $2,500, Council members support on-going teaching excellence at the school. They also provide a valuable pool of expertise and guidance as the school of business grows and evolves. Non-resident memberships at $1500 are now available to alumni and others who wish to support the work of the Council.

economic_club_of_phoenixThe Economic Club of Phoenix: formed in 1985, fosters an increasingly dynamic business climate in Arizona by bringing in noted speakers and fostering discussion of critical economic issues. Each member contributes at least $500 to the school.

Dean's Board of Excellence: formed in 1990, takes a special interest in the Business Honors Program. Board members participate in the Honors Mentor Program. Membership: $200 active and $250 sustaining.

asu_mba_councilMBA Council: formed in 1992, links W. P. Carey MBA alumni to the school of business. Their broad range of activities involves student relations, alumni relations, and school relations committees. Membership is $75 annually ($40 for recent graduates).

cobaaAlumni Association: represents the nearly 48,000 graduates of the school of business. The primary objectives are to provide funding for student scholarships and teaching excellence awards, and to offer a connection to the school for alumni through numerous social and fundraising events.

hispanic_business_alumniHispanic Business Alumni: aims to give back to the Hispanic community by providing educational opportunities to Hispanic business students at ASU. These opportunities include scholarships and a formal internship program.
