Student Life
As a W. P. Carey student, your classroom experience is just one part of your preparation for a successful career. We also offer a variety of outstanding extracurricular programs and activities to provide you with practical, real-world experiences that complement your classroom studies and prepare you to become one of tomorrow's business leaders.
Among our extracurricular programs and activities are:
Financial Management Association
The Financial Management Association
(FMA) is an international organization of finance professionals, students and faculty. The organization was founded to facilitate the transfer of ideas in the field of finance.
FMA's ASU chapter consistently earns the rank "Superior Status." The group's leadership works diligently to create value for its members by supplementing their academic training with exposure to the practice of finance. Members learn things they can't be taught in the classroom about the finance industry and jobs available to finance graduates. They engage in valuable networking activities in weekly meetings with guest speaker presentations followed by socials. Some members also enter national collegiate competitions and perform community volunteer work.
