Division of Real Estate

Focused on an increasing industry need for the most highly qualified graduates, the Division of Real Estate provides the research and experience-based expertise necessary to understand and solve diverse and complex investment and development challenges in the contemporary real estate industry.

The members of our real estate faculty bring real-world applications to the classroom, and are highly regarded locally and worldwide in the field of commercial and residential real estate development and investment. Their collaboration and vision have contributed to a wide and growing array of international real estate projects emphasizing ethical and responsible development that enhances community value and vibrancy and is sustainable and financially successful.

Through the Real Estate Minor, you can apply your knowledge of other aspects of community development to the real estate industry. Whether you are a business student in the W. P. The Master of Real Estate Development is a collaboration among the W. P. Carey School of Business, the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts New window, the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law New window, and the Del E. Webb School of Construction New window. Immerse yourself in the cornerstone disciplines of real estate development by utilizing case studies and complex projects to develop your skills as a strategic decision maker, and learn the various aspects of the business of real estate to become a community-minded, responsible, ethical and financially successful industry leader.

Research

Through the division’s Center for Real Estate Theory and Practice, professors from the Department of Finance develop tools that provide valuable and timely residential and commercial market information for realtors, developers, home owners and news media.
