This study was designed to provide publication information for financial research institutions/universities and rank these organizations by number of articles published in the top 4 finance journals. There is no subjectivity to the data collected. All data were gathered from printed publications. The rankings measure the finance footprint of a business school or organization, not just the finance department.  All authors listed in citation are included in the rankings.  All data collected can be verified from printed journals and/or journal websites.  All data was entered into our online tool by hand with the aid of a research assistant. While we have attempted to present data as accurate as possible, the possibility of human error may exist. If you have any corrections, please inform us using our comments form, and we will work together to resolve any problems.
