Good projects frequently fail, even with experienced project managers at the helm. They find that traditional project management practices don’t address the complexities and risks of today’s projects.
Taught by faculty who teach in our MBA programs, this comprehensive practical project management program will emphasize best known methods and an adaptive process for managing projects in organizations. You will learn techniques and processes that can be applied to work immediately and that can increase the success rate of the projects you manage.

Out of consideration for experienced project managers who can’t afford to leave the office for too many consecutive days, the program will utilize a blended learning design. The three days of in-class activities on the Tempe ASU campus will be preceded by approximately twelve hours of self-paced, web-based activities. The online activities are designed to establish the foundation that will be needed to participate in the classroom activities, thereby enabling you to devote the time in class to advanced topics and to the application of best known processes to exercises and cases.
Throughout the program, you will experience action-oriented learning through lectures, case discussions, interactive exercises, and team-based problem solving. Activities will take place in a team environment, culminating in a case competition on the final day involving a simulated project planning and selection experience.
