Clinical Assistant Professor - Job #9943

The W. P. Carey School of Business, Department of Economics at Arizona State University seeks qualified applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor.  All candidates must have a PhD in Economics or a related field, a demonstrated interest in teaching in the field of economics and have evidence of successful teaching activity, appropriate to rank.

The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the department's mission in teaching and institutional commitment and to deliver instruction of economic courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels. The position is an ideal appointment for anyone who wishes to concentrate on teaching and related activities such as mentoring and curriculum development.

The position is a full-time position with no tenure implications.  The renewal is contingent upon availability of funds, satisfactory performance and the needs of the university.  Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications, experience and rank.

The Department of Economics at Arizona State University invites applications for tenure track positions of any rank beginning November 1, 2011.  Scholarship in any field of economics is welcome.  Teaching needs are at all levels: undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. Applicant must possess Ph.D. in Economics by the start of appointment as well as teaching experience appropriate to rank. Also required is demonstrated research potential as evidenced by a research paper for assistant professor applicants or a record of publication and substantial ongoing research appropriate to rank for applicants for associate/full professor.  Application deadline is December 1, 2011; if not filled, the first of the month thereafter until search is closed.
