Please join us in celebrating the 30th season of the Economic Club of Phoenix.
Dr. Thomas Bates, Chair of the Department of Finance for the W. P. Carey School of Business, will discuss the reasons behind the trend in corporate cash hoarding, and the consequences these stockpiles will hold for capital investment and shareholder value.
Beverages and appetizers will be provided. This event is open to members, guests, and the business community.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, David Lenhardt from PetSmart will not be available to present at the October luncheon.
The W. P. Carey School of Business is pleased to announce that Ray Anderson will present the October luncheon. Mr. Anderson is the former Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the National Football League, and current President for University Athletics and Athletics Director at Arizona State University. Mr. Anderson will discuss leadership lessons he has gained from more than 30 years of experience in professional and amateur sports. The luncheon will provide helpful insights for anyone interested in leadership tactics that are applicable across all organizations and demographics.
Cost: $75 for non-members, $60 for Introductory members
