New Economics Faculty

The Department of Economics is pleased to announce the addition of new faculty to the department.

 

Madhav Chandrasekher

Madhav Chandrasekher joined the ASU Department of Economics in 2008 as an Assistant Professor.  He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Chandrasekher primary research interests are in decision theory and game theory.<more>

Amanda Friedenberg

Amanda Friedenberg obtained her Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government from Harvard University, in 2003. She then joined the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and in 2008 joined the ASU Department of Economics as an Assistant Professor. Her academic interests focus on foundational issues in game theory and applications of game theory to political economy issues.<more>

Roozbeh Hosseini

Roozbeh Hosseini, joined the ASU economics faculty in 2008 as an Assistant Professor of Economics. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota. His primary research interests are in macroeconomics and public economics.<more>

Natalia Kovrijnykh

Natalia Kovrijnykh joined the ASU economics faculty in 2008 as an Assistant Professor of Economics. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago. Her primary research interests are in dynamic contract theory, macroeconomics, and financial economics.<more>

Nicolai Kuminoff

Nicolai Kuminoff joined the ASU Department of Economics in 2009 as an Assistant Professor.  He received his Ph.D. in economics from North Carolina State University. Kuminoff's primary research interests are in environmental economics and microeconometrics.<more>

David Lagakos

David Lagakos joined the ASU Department of Economics in 2008 as an Assistant Professor of Economics. David received his Ph.D. in economics for  the University of California, Los Angeles. His primary research interests are in macroeconomics and growth theory.<more>
