Jeanne Elliott, External Relations Coordinator for Finance, formerly served in Supply Chain Management as Managing Editor for Decision Sciences journal, Guest Editor for Manufacturing and Service Operations Management's Special Issue on Applications of Empirical Science in Operations Management, and Department Managing Editor for Production and Operations Management.
Previously she assisted the W. P. Carey School of Business Supply Chain Management's department with planning and executing executive education programs.
Prior to joining the department, she developed her comprehensive public relations and marketing communications background in both private and public colleges and universities and in hospital and corporate settings. She directed internal and external communications programs including those for publications, marketing communications, and special events for The Pennsylvania State University, Barry College, Harrisburg(Pa.)Area Community College, GTE, and Siemens. At Miller Brewing Company she championed new-technology implementation, developed successful training and orientation programs instituted nationwide, and assisted executives with detailed analysis.
For projects developed with GTE and Siemens she earned several International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Copper Quill awards, including those for publications and promotional materials. She secured The MacEachern (the highest award nationally for hospital public relations programs) for internal relations for Penn State's Hershey Medical Center, where she also developed numerous patient education materials.
She earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from The Pennsylvania State University.
