Phil Regier
Executive Vice Provost and Dean, ASU Online and Extended Campus
In July 2009, Phil accepted the dean's position at ASU Online. ASU Online currently manages twenty undergraduate and five graduate programs, with ten new programs to be introduced in 2012. The number of managed program students has grown from 400 to 4,000 in less than three years and the university is targeting 30,000 online degree students in the near future. He previously served as executive dean at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He is an accounting faculty member and has published research on postretirement benefits, corporate restructuring and market-based accounting in leading academic journals. He earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy and mathematics from St. John’s College and his Ph.D. in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
