Class of 2008 Employment Profile
W. P. Carey MBA students have reached over 90% employment within three months of graduation since the introduction of a required core curriculum course in Career Leadership in 2003. In 2008, employment at three months from graduation was 92%.
Overall compensation levels for 2008 fell slighty from the previous year though students do not consider salary as the most important factor in making their employment decision. Major reasons for W. P. Carey students accepting positions are:
- Opportunities for career growth
- Leadership development
- Intellectual challenge
- Corporate culture
The following results are as of August 15, 2008 and are based on 100% of the MBA students in the 2008 graduating class. Salary figures represent base salary only and do not include signing bonus, performance bonus, relocation package or any other financial remuneration.
