Class of 2007 Employment Profile
W. P. Carey MBA students have reached over 90% employment within three months of graduation since the introduction of a required core curriculum course in Career Leadership in 2003. In 2007, employment at three months from graduation set a record high of 97.4% with 89.5% of the class employed on or before graduation.
Overall compensation levels have increased 20% over last year even though students do not consider salary as the most important factor in making their employment decision. Major reasons for W. P. Carey students accepting positions are:
- Opportunities for career growth
- Leadership development
- Intellectual challenge
- Corporate culture
The following results are as of August 15, 2007 and are based on 100% of the MBA students in the 2007 graduating class. Salary figures represent base salary only and do not include signing bonus, performance bonus, relocation package or any other financial remuneration.
