Host a Company Presentation

On-campus presentations and Recruiter Days provide a forum for students to learn more about your organization and discuss opportunities with company representatives. In addition to these events sponsored by our office, you may also choose to hold an off-campus presentation, reception or dinner.

Company Presentations

Companies have the opportunity to host presentations and networking receptions beginning in September with the start of the MBA recruiting season. Focused presentations inform students about the company’s organizational structure and leadership, culture, recruiting practices, career paths, avenues for growth and travel, and more.

Employers can choose between two presentation formats. The Employer Round Table and Lunch is an hour long and is held during the noon hour.  The Evening Information Session is a 60- to 75-minute presentation starting at 5:30 p.m. and allows time to meet students before and after the session. Both are scheduled Monday through Thursday.

Company presentations are a great way to generate excitement about your company and to initiate communications with interested students early in the year. For this reason, we encourage company representatives planning a single visit to campus in the fall to open events to both first- and second-year MBA students.

Recruiter Day

Offered on non-class Fridays, Recruiter Day presentations provide opportunities to address more than one student audience during three exclusive 15-minute presentations.  The format is intended to help companies increase contact with students. We ask participating organizations to send one or two functional representatives to present and include W. P. Carey MBA alumni when possible.

Recruiter Day begins with lunch for company participants followed by presentations and concludes with a networking reception for presenters and student attendees. The W. P. Carey MBA recruiting team will arrange meeting space and refreshments and provide organization signs, name badges and a list of student participants. Company representatives need only bring one marketing piece and business cards.

Office Hours and Small Group Conversations

Throughout the academic year, we invite employers to host office hours to talk informally with students who drop by to meet your recruiting team. Office hours are most effective when scheduled in conjunction with company presentations and held a few weeks before conducting interviews.

Scheduling Your Event

The W. P. Carey MBA recruiting team will manage all details associated with your presentation. To begin planning your event, see available dates on our Recruiting CalendarPDF.

Meeting Space, Audio/Visual and Catering

Once we have established a date for your visit, our staff will arrange logistics pertaining to your meeting location, in-room technology and catering. Our meeting and conference space is fully equipped with Internet and audio/visual systems to ensure your session runs smoothly. There are no fees associated with meeting rooms. Reasonable charges apply to catering based on the type of refreshments served and the number of attendees.

Parking

Our staff will reserve complimentary parking in the visitors section of our parking facility located near the W. P. Carey School and Career Management Center.

Publicizing Your Presentation

In advance of your event, our recruiting team will gather details about your organization, presenters, desired MBA audience, scheduled recruiting activities, W. P. Carey MBA alumni working in your company and any other information that will attract students to your presentation. We will post the announcement on our eRecruiting system, collect RSVPs and keep you apprised of student interest. As the date approaches, we will feature your recruiting activities in RecruitingNews, a weekly newsletter sent to all MBA students. We also will connect you with MBA Clubs and Organizations that might further attract attendees, as well as assist you in searching our resume database to e-mail invitations to students.
