About the CenterThe Center’s mission is to develop research in environmental and resource economics that is relevant to policy needs. Special attention is given to sustainability policy as an integrating challenge for economics along with the other social natural sciences. The Center organizes faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduates in its research activities. Center faculty and students work with the Central Arizona Project Long Term Ecological Research Site, the Decision Center for a Desert City and other inter-disciplinary research programs at ASU. Our research is supported by grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Homeland Security as well as other government agencies and non-profit foundations. Research by Drs Carol Mansfield and Allen Klaiber with Smith finds that information disclosure can be important regardless of the consequences when it comes to air travel. Learn more > |
