Marketing & Communications Committee
The Marketing & Communication Committee's primary function is to promote HBA and its activities. Among the committee's responsibilities are the publishing of the HBA newsletter and brochure. Also, maintaining and updating the HBA webpage in conjunction with the W. P. Carey School of Business is another important priority.

Fundraising & Finance Committee
The Fundraising & Finance Committee is responsible for the funding behind HBA's Scholarship Program. Activities of the committee include submitting and following up on proposals to various corporations, working with the ASU Telefund to solicit contributions from individual supporters and finding other revenue-making opportunities, such as Casino Night, to contribute to the Scholarship Program.

Golf Tournament Committee
This subset group of the Development Committee committee organizes the scholarship golf tournament each fall to raise money for scholarship assistance to Hispanic business students. Responsibilities include acquiring corporate sponsors, promoting the event, obtaining prizes for the tournament participants and making the necessary accommodations for the tournament. Net proceeds from this tournament go toward the HBA Scholarship Fund.

Membership Services Committee
The Membership Services Committee organizes and promotes various networking and professional development activities for HBA members and supporters. These include general meetings and receptions, community service projects and the HBA annual meeting each May. This committee also explores ways to increase membership and maintains the HBA membership database.

Student Initiatives Committee
The Student Initiatives Committee oversees the HBA Scholarship Program. Functions of the committee include promoting the program to prospective applicants, reviewing applications submitted and selecting candidates for scholarships based on their merits. Additionally, the student initiatives committee and the W. P. Carey School of Business recognize the scholarship recipients and our major sponsors and donors at the annual HBA Scholarship Recognition event each spring.
This committee is also responsible for "mentoring and communicating" with the Hispanic Business Students Association (HBSA). This committee further supports HBSA with professional development, networking and mentorship programs in order to promote a strong relationship between students and alumni.
