MACC Program Overview
The MACC full-time program prepares you for a wide range of professional careers in accounting or consulting. It is structured to provide an in-depth working knowledge of advanced accounting topics most relevant in today’s business environment. Completion of this program (along with its accounting prerequisites) will fulfill the upper level accounting coursework requirements for CPA certification.
This is a nine-month, lockstep program that begins in the fall (August) and concludes the following spring (May). Classes meet at various times during the day, Monday through Thursday, with a Special Topics in Accounting class meeting on selected Friday afternoons. This program also offers an information systems emphasis for interested students.
This is a full-time program with a full course load, so you are advised to limit other activities to less than 15 to 20 hours a week.

The program’s cutting-edge curriculum is reviewed and refreshed every year with input from accounting professionals and alumni. Our faculty includes highly experienced professionals and current practitioners.
Placement of our domestic graduates has been at almost 100 percent for several years, with many national accounting firms recruiting for positions around the country. Representative firms that have hired MACC graduates include Deloitte, Ernst & Young, ExxonMobil, Grant Thorton LLP, Heinfeld, Meech & Co. PC, Honeywell, Mayer Hoffman McCann PC, J. D. Edwards, BDO Seidman, Clifton Gunderson, Intel Corp., KPMG, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and RSM McGladrey Inc. Graduates are typically offered positions such as audit associate, analyst, business analyst, assistant controller, consultant and management associate.
