How to Apply
Applying for admission to the MACC and MTAX programs begins with filing an online application to the ASU Graduate College . You also need to submit supplemental materials, standardized test scores, and pay an application fee.

Online Application
The Graduate Admissions Application collects basic demographic informationas well as supplemental information such as letters of recommendation, work experience, and essays.
- Enter details of your most recent employment and your standardized test results (if received).
- The School of Accountancy requires two recommendations as part of the application process. The School is accepting online recommendations through the Graduate College. In the online application, please provide the name and e-mail address of your two recommenders. Your recommenders will receive an e-mail from the Graduate College to submit an electronic recommendation on your behalf. They will be asked to answer a few short-answer and ranked questions. These individuals should speak to your personal qualities, career focus and potential for success in the graduate business classroom. They should know you personally and be familiar with your career history, credentials, leadership strengths and professional aspirations.
- Prepare in advance, using Microsoft Word, a resume that then must be uploaded into the online application in the appropriate place. Be sure to carefully proofread your resume before submitting. Please note that special fonts and/or formats – such as italics, bold and changed font -- may be lost during data submission.

- Describe your background in business and accounting, achieved through either academic or professional experiences.
- Explain how the program will help you achieve both your personal and professional goals.
- Address strengths and weaknesses of your application in light of the program's admission criteria, including areas of deficiency. Include any additional information you would like the Admissions Committee to know about your candidacy for admission.
Supplemental Application Materials
All supplemental application materials (those items not collected electronically through the on-line application) must be forwarded, in their original sealed envelopes, to the Graduate College.
Please add your Document Reference Number to all materials prior to mailing. This number can be obtained from the Graduate College Application Checklist, which is the last page of the online application. (If you have submitted documents prior to receiving your Document Reference Number, materials will be matched manually).
