POSITION DESCRIPTION:Director of the School of Accountancy
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Director develops, articulates and presents the vision for the unit consistent with the mission of the W. P. Carey School.S/he is responsible for personnel, curricular and budget decisions.Principal priorities include providing scholarly research leadership, recruiting students for a vibrant undergraduate degree in Accounting, Masters degrees in Accounting (MACC) and Taxation (MTax), and the doctoral program in Accounting.The Director will foster external relationships in a program committed to achieving national and international prominence in the field of Accounting.S/he must also supervise the School faculty and staff.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) A Ph.D. in accountancy, business administration, or a closely related field;
2) a strong record of scholarly research;
3) a history of strong service and teaching effectiveness commensurate with the rank of Professor
at a Top 30 program in business housed within a major research university;
4) demonstrated written and oral communication skills for professional and non-professional
audiences;
5) strong interpersonal skills and a record of partnership building with alumni, faculty, staff and
students; and
6) experience in maintaining and growing relationships within the business community.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Management and leadership experience within a department/unit of a major research university;
2) Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting; and
3) Experience with shared governance with faculty, staff, students and administrators.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Full-time, tenure-track faculty holding the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the School of Accountancy in the W. P. Carey School of Business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The candidate must contribute to the School of Accountancy's mission primarily in the areas of research and teaching.Research must be publishable in premier academic journals in accounting or a closely related field.The candidate must be able to contribute to curriculum development and to deliver excellent in-class instruction at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) A Ph.D. in business administration or a closely related field;
2) For appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, a demonstrated capability to conduct research publishable in premier academic journals.For appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, a distinguished record of scholarship evidenced by publications in premier academic journals and an active continuing research agenda in the area.
3) Teaching experience appropriate to rank.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated research and teaching potential in the areas of managerial, financial or tax accounting.

Full-time, non-tenure-track faculty holding the rank of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor in the School of Accountancy in the W. P. Carey School of Business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The candidate must contribute to the School of Accountancy's mission primarily in the areas of teaching, curriculum development, and service.The candidate must be able to deliver excellent instruction and to contribute to curriculum development at the undergraduate and master's levels.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) A Ph.D. in business administration or a closely related field;
2) AACSB Academically Qualified (AQ) status
3) Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum development in a business school and the ability to integrate accounting research into the curriculum;
4) A minimum of three years of teaching experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) A Ph.D. in business administration or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited business school;
2) Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum development in principles of accounting (both financial and managerial) at an AACSB accredited business school;
3) Experience in teaching in an online environment; and
4) A recent record of publications in peer reviewed journals.
