Ph.D. Program Overview

The School of Accountancy offers a doctoral concentration within the W. P. Carey Ph.D. in Business Administration degree program. The primary objective of the Ph.D. in accounting is to train students for careers as professors at major research universities.

The program provides a challenging course of study in the most recent developments in both the theoretical and empirical aspects of accounting. The accounting coursework, along with courses in economics, statistics or experimental psychology, serves as preparation for the understanding and critical analysis of current issues in accounting.
