There are several ways for students to apply for scholarships. Business students should apply through the W. P. Carey School of Business and the ASU Scholarship Office. Scholarships through the W. P. Carey School of Business are limited to business students while the ASU Scholarship Office handles scholarships targeted to ALL ASU students. The W. P. Carey School of Business Scholarship General Application, which may be found at W. P. Carey Scholarship page should be completed each academic year. A separate application may be required for certain business scholarships. Please contact the Undergraduate Scholarship Office for information on these scholarship opportunities.

Arizona Chapter of Fianancial Executives International

The Arizona Chapter of Financial Executives International is now accepting applications for its annual academic award program.  Our academic award program, which the Arizona Chapter has sponsored for over twelve years, supports Arizona university students specializing in accounting and/or finance in order to continue a legacy of strong financial leaders for Arizona companies and organizations.

The FEI Academic Awards Committee will select one candidate per university for an award that will be presented at the Chapter dinner meeting on April 8th at the Phoenix Country Club.  It is anticipated that the Academic Award will be at least $2,000 per University and possibly more.

 

Minimum Requirements:

            Declared major of accounting or finance in the School of Business

            Letter of recommendation from a university professor

            GPA of 3.0 overall and 3.0+ in major

            Professional and civic involvement

The AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship, a collaborative program with Accountemps, awards five $2,500 scholarships to students pursuing a degree in accounting, finance or information systems.

The John L. Carey Scholarship awards ten $5,000 scholarships to liberal arts degree holders who are preparing to enter a graduate accounting program. Deadline: April 1, 2008 The AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students provides financial awards of up to $5,000 to undergraduate and graduate minority accounting students.

The AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students awards nearly 20 minority doctoral students up to $12,000 each to increase the number of accounting educators who are also CPAs.
