Early applications are encouraged | | | The Master of Taxation now offers 2 program options! Beginning fall 2009, applicants may choose either the 1-year or 2-year program. Both programs offer courses in the evening; - The 1-year program is a full-time program, which offers courses four evenings a week, with a day class, “Special Topics in Accounting” on selected Fridays. This is a lockstep program that is comprised of ten 3-credit hour courses spanning over three 10 week trimesters (9 months total).
- The 2-year program offers classes 1-2 evenings per week and is designed for working professionals. The 2-year program is also lockstep and offers the same ten 3-credit hour courses but over a span of two years (6 trimesters) with a summer break from May-August.
The MTax degree is designed to equip students with the highly technical and demanding skills required to provide tax and business advice in the private sector and to administer the tax laws in the public sector of the economy. The program prepares students for positions in taxation and provides graduate-level education for tax professionals who desire to enhance their skills. When applying to the MTAX program, please be sure to select either the 1 or 2-year program.
