Can I transfer credit hours from another institution to the MTAX degree?
On a petition basis, you may request that a maximum of six semester credit hours be transferred to the MTAX degree from another accredited post-secondary institution. The petition is subject to approval by the School of Accountancy and the Division of Graduate Studies. The transfer credits must be acceptable toward graduate degrees at the institution where the courses were completed. Only resident graduate courses with a grade of ‘A’ or ‘B’ may be considered for transfer.
Due to the lockstep nature of the MTAX, any transferred course should be almost identical in content to the MTAX course it is intended to replace.
Can I take MTAX graduate courses before being admitted to the degree program?
No, we do not allow non-degree enrollment in MTAX courses. You must be formally accepted to the degree program to be able to enroll in any courses.
