Research
The Spirit of Enterprise Center opens doors into cutting-edge research aimed at entrepreneurial success. With its home in the Department of Management, which has the third most productive research faculty in the U.S., Spirit can offer companies unique access to research designed to help achieve enhanced firm performance. Department faculty and doctoral students are among the most prolific researchers in the areas of succession planning, corporate governance, leadership, family firm issues, business strategy and organizational culture. Spirit firms have access to the latest thought leadership from the department and are often involved in the research itself. Participation in these research efforts can afford you access to state-of-the-art best practices that can help advance your objectives.
Research conducted by teams of students on behalf of the Spirit of Enterprise opens doors to success for Valley businesses. For example, the Light Rail Project commissioned by the Tempe Chamber of Commerce sent students into the light rail path to help small businesses weather the construction and prepare for increased traffic. The Valley Venture Capital Study, conducted by two Barrett, the Honors College students as their thesis, benchmarked the state of venture capital in the Valley and resulted in a call to action for community, business and financial leaders to improve the capital infrastructure for business growth in Arizona.
